New Year and New Start

New years day when we woke up I was still very upset about all the accusations and insults Valeri had attacked me with the night before and for having to spend New Years Eve alone.

 I tried to speak to Valeri about how I felt but he just glossed over it and said we should start again fresh today and put it behind us!

Afterall he loved me very much and I loved him and that's all that mattered so why waste the day when we could have a beautiful day together and start the new year on good terms he said!

It was a beautiful sunny day and Valeri was in a wonderful mood and so I let it go giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was sorry for letting things escalate again and ruining New Years Eve which he stated he did come back in time to see the new year in with me and we only didnt because of me. I even thought that maybe I was being unfair to be upset as he was trying hard to change and Rome wasnt built in a day!

I was not going to punish him for one mistake when he had made such progress in the rest of that week so I let it go!

We had a wonderful day together and that night it was fairly warm and a full moon so we spent it on the beach together, made a fire and watched the sun rise.

It was very romantic and I was pleased that I had decided to take his advice and just forget about the night before and I didnt mention it again...

However it was not to last and within the first few weeks of January his abuse and aggression had reached a whole new level..
