Seized the opportunity

With the car still off the road and Valeri wanting to visit the police station to make a complaint against the beating he received, I suggested we hire a car to get things sorted.. my real reason being that if he went to attack me again then at least I may be able to get away.

Within a matter of days, I had an opportunity to leave so I took it!

Valeri was sleeping so I managed to get my bag and the car keys and I left... I was frightened and apprehensive about what I was doing especially driving when I had been banned by the police but I had had enough and wanted to get away from him.

I got about a mile down the road and noticed his wallet with his ID etc was in the car. I wanted to carry on going but I knew that I would have to take his wallet back so I turned around and decided to go back and leave his wallet as I knew that without his ID he would not be able to go home which is what I was hoping he would do.

As I pulled up to the complex, Valeri was standing in the car park with a menacing look on his face. He knew I had left him so I had only one option and that was to throw his wallet out of the window and sped off which is exactly what I did!

Valeri called, txt, messaged me incessantly in the days that followed but I just ignored him!
